Sell out gig!

Just to say a great big thankyou to all of you who showed up at Ullock on Friday to make the gig a sell out and a memorable night! We had an absolute blast and found our first village hall gig ever a real treat. We are already looking forward to the Kirksanton gig on March 13th so if you can make it bring yourselves along and show some support for us and the village hall scene!
Have a great week and we will catch up with you all soon!

New Tour Dates

Hi everyone, first of all we would just like to say we hope the New Year has started off well for you all and hopefully the dreaded credit crunch isn't biting too hard!
We are delighted to announce that we will be playing three local Village Hall gigs for Arts Out West. They will all be acoustic and are all on either Friday or Saturday nights so we would love to see some of you there to show your support! We are really looking forward to having a shot at this and would like to thank Bob Pritchard and Gerry Millar for all of their help so far in getting this underway. Check out the tour dates section for details
A lot of effort is put into these events by the organisers and artists to try and get live music into the rural communities so come along and lets make it happen!

See you there!

For One Night Only - Take 2

Hi everyone, just a quick message to say we had a great night at the Falcon Club in Egremont last Saturday! It was in aid of Meningitis Research and was organised by Tony and Pauline Bell in memory of their daughter Lisa Bell who died in 2006 of meningitis.
We will let you know how much the evening raised when the total amount is sorted. We got a great build up from Tony and Pauline before going on stage and played a set of both old and new songs with full band once again. This is our second gig with them and already the songs are really starting to gel together.
The crowd enjoyed the set and we even got a few people up dancing to us...that has to be a first....they must have been pissed!
It was a real pleasure to play for such a worthy cause and we are now looking forward to the next charity gigs for the CKDCF in October.
For anyone who has missed us at the last two gigs we are playing a gig of our own along with ESP this Saturday 13th at the Kirkgate Centre in Cockermouth. Tickets are £7:50. Come along and show us your support!

Catch you there

It Bites GIg

Just to say we had an absolute blast on Saturday as support to It Bites at the Civic Hall in Whitehaven. We would like to thank them once again for the support slot and it was great to catch up with Bobby and John again and also nice meeting lead vocalist John and Bassist Lee!
This was our first gig with our new band line up so we were a little on edge to say the least but they did a fantastic job. We played mainly songs from Nearly Killed Keith but finished off with Ernie and Well But Poor. We would also like to thank Steve and Lee for doing a great job with the sound.
It was great to finish up and then relax watching It Bites play some of our old favourites from our youth. Its hard to believe how quick the years have gone buy since we were just 15 watching them!
Anyway, a great night it was and we are now looking forward to playing at the Falcon Club in Egremont this Saturday for the meningitis research charity event.

See you there!

A successful couple of weekends!

Well, what can we say? What an absolutely amazing couple of fundraising weeks! First of all we had our charity rock gig as Mad Dog Scone last Sunday which we now know raised £1300 for the CKDCF....watch out for the next one coming your way! Then, we had the annual CKDCF fundraising weekend at the Ship Launch in Egremont which was hosted by Mark Andrews who once again did a fab job of the pub quiz and auction.....who also cost us a bit of money on that bloody dutch auction ( most expensive bottle of plonk and box of Ferrero Rocher I've ever known)!
Not sure what the total raised was yet but check out aquariannation.com or ckdcf.org for details.
After the auction me and wayne got up and did a set with Francis on guitar and bv's, and Steph Worsley on bv's. Four songs were played from our soon to be released new album before Francis put down the guitar and became our drummer and Steve English joined us on electric guitar for a further four songs from Nearly Killed Keith....it was a real blast to hear the songs as a band again! Next up was the fantastic M T Arms who played a blinding set....nice one lads!
Saturday night was race night down at the Ship Launch again, and although it was a small turnout of people (I'm guessing because most people must have showed up on the Friday cos it was packed) it was a really successful night raising a further £800! Watch the websites for the total amount. All in all a brilliant weekend with loads of dosh made for charity....thanks from us to everyone who took part or showed up....heres to a successful October event!

Charity Events

Hi everyone, just to let you know we will be getting up and doing a few songs at the CKDCF July event on Friday 18th at the Ship Launch in Egremont. There will be an auction held by Mark Andrews and local band MT Arms will be finishing off the night!
Also, we are getting together with our old drummer Andy Mitchell to play a one off gig at Hunters Bar in Cockermouth on July 13th but this time as our old Rock band...Mad Dog Scone!
Its been a while, so things could be interesting to say the least remembering all the links and daft stuff. It's already a SELL OUT so we apologise to anyone who hasn't already got tickets.
It's in memory of my dad (Baz Dunnery) and all proceeds will be going to the Charlie and Kathleen Dunnery Childrens Fund (CKDCF).

See you there!
